Our mission statement reads, “We teach deaf children to talk and we teach others to do it too.” We fulfill this commitment in a number of ways. Members of the Moog staff teach four courses in the Washington University Professional Program in Deaf Education. We offer student teacher placements for deaf education students, practicum and observation for students in speech pathology and communication disorders, clinical fellowships for speech-language pathologists and practicum and residency opportunities for students pursuing an AuD degree in Audiology.
We also offer a Biennial Conference at the Moog Center for teachers, speech-language pathologists, audiologists, parents, and others working with children who are deaf or hard of hearing. In addition to the Biennial Conference, we offer ongoing customized workshops, coaching, observations, and in-services for professionals online or on-site at the Moog Center or professional’s school.
